Conversations In American Democracy, is a weekly meeting in Palm Coast, Florida with its culture of friendly challenge and argument, exchange of ideas and information that helps us all as we strive to be tough on ideas, and kind to people; whereas much of other discourse these days seems to be the opposite: tough on people but weak on ideas. The administration of Gov. Ron DeSantis orchestrated a $10 million payment last fall to a charity founded by the governor’s wife — which then turned around and gave the money to groups that helped finance the governor’s campaign against a proposed constitutional amendment to legalize marijuana in Florida. Are we going to take this sitting down? People being swept off the streets and deported without due process in spite of the Judicial branches orders to the contrary. Harvard and other institutions of higher learning being bullied by the current administration. Rally's and the April 26th one in particular against training the sheriffs department to aid ICE. Avelo Airline signs contract to fly deportees out of the USA. New instructions for the upcoming Rally's in aid of public and personal safety.
